Spirited Seasons contains recipes both stimulating to the accomplished mixologist, and approachable by the novice.  While some of the recipes in the book were inspired by standard classics or modern creations others are truly unique cocktails.  When not finessing a classic cocktail, I may start with a specific concept.  For example, the Mesoamerican was a competition that sought Latin American themed recipes without Tequila.  Sometimes the discovery of a unique ingredient such as pandan will lead to a new creation like the Pandantini.
